Accessibility
Last updated August 2026
We want Epic Trivia & Bingo to be usable by as many people as possible — managers and hosts running the software, and guests reading the screens in a noisy, dimly lit room.
Our Commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of building features rather than a one-time audit, and we address reported barriers as they come in.
What We've Built In
Game screens use very large, high-contrast type sized to the display so questions and answers are readable from across a room. Correct answers are indicated by more than color alone — incorrect options dim and recede when the answer is revealed.
Host controls support keyboard navigation, including keyboard shortcuts for advancing slides during a live game. Interactive elements have visible focus indicators, and the interface is responsive down to phone-sized screens for hosts running games from a mobile device.
Images used as content support alternative text, and forms use properly associated labels.
Known Limitations
Some areas still need work, and we are honest about them: the printable bingo cards and how-to guides are designed for print layout and are not fully optimized for screen readers; a few dense admin tables are difficult to navigate at small screen sizes; and audio cues during gameplay — timer music and intermission tracks — are not accompanied by a visual equivalent in every case.
Accessibility at Your Events
Because games run on your own screens and sound system, some accessibility depends on your setup. We recommend positioning the display where it is visible from seated tables, keeping room lighting from washing out the screen, and having hosts read questions aloud as well as showing them.
Feedback
If you run into a barrier using our software, please tell us through the contact page. Describe the page and what happened, and we will respond within five business days and work with you on an alternative in the meantime.
