This How-To walks you — the game host — through everything from receiving your access code to running a full game night. It covers both Trivia and Music Bingo, including display setup, game controls, scoring, and troubleshooting.

Trivia: A 4-round pub trivia game with multiple-choice questions, images, video clips, music clips, and Double Trouble bonus questions. Teams answer on their phones by scanning the QR code on the display, on paper slips, or both. Music Bingo: A 4-round music bingo game where players listen to songs and mark them on bingo cards. Players can use printed cards, or scan the QR code on the display to get their own set of 4 cards on their phone. Each round has a different category and win pattern.

A computer or tablet running Windows or Apple iOS, a TV or projector connected via HDMI, and internet access to retrieve and pre-download your game. Once pre-downloaded, all of the game content — questions, images, clips, songs, cards and slides — plays from your own device, so the venue's Wi-Fi can't interrupt the show. You still need a working connection at the venue for anything players do on their phones (joining, answering, marking bingo cards); with no internet, the night runs on paper answer slips and printed cards. The system runs entirely in your internet browser — no special software is needed. Your manager will give you an access code (EPIC-XXXX-XXXX).

For trivia nights, your manager should provide official Epic Trivia answer slips (teams use these to submit answers). If your manager hasn't ordered them yet, they can purchase boxes of 2,500 slips from the Supplies page (/manager/supplies). You'll also need golf pencils for teams and the audio equipment listed in the Supplies page (USB mixer, microphone, speakers, etc.) — ask your manager if you're missing anything.

In addition to the daily trivia game, premium themed trivia games (e.g., Taylor Swift, 80s Movies, Star Wars) are available for purchase at /themed-games. Hosts on file with Epic Trivia can buy them for $125 each. After purchase, you receive an access code by email — retrieve and play it the same way as any other game.
